FIELD: weaponry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to conversion of ammunition. Projectiles considered unfit for combat purposes and prolonged storage are subjected to safety check and disassembled. The parts not meeting the requirements to projectile dummy load are recovered, checked for surface corrosion resistance and assembled using dummy load. The projectile body is filled with inert composition and fitted with blank fuse or its mockup. Then, a lot is formed with four, not more, adjacent weight marks and with no allowance for the case lot number, or loading lot number, or live munitions date of production. Finally, they are subjected to firing tests.
EFFECT: conversion of unfit live projectiles into training category.
