FIELD: railway transport; permanent way maintenance and repair.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine for removing old and laying new rail track. Machine 1 has first transportation device 9 for handling old ties 10 connected with tie receiver 6 and second transportation device 11 for delivering new ties 12 for tie layer 8. Moreover, reloading device 14 is provided with reloading mechanism 15 adjustable in height by means of drive 19 and designed for selectively reloading old ties 10 from first transportation device 9 to second device 11. Method of removing old and laying new rail track comes to the following: old ties 10 are continuously loaded in longitudinal direction of machine, and new ties 12 are delivered in opposite direction to tie layer 8, and during unloading, direction of transportation of old ties 10 for their delivery to tie layer 8 is changed selectively.
EFFECT: facilitated tie laying and possibility of reuse of oil ties in good repair on newly laid tracks.
