FIELD: construction engineering; operation of carrying pipe lines; repair of main-type pipe lines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes machining of defective section of pipe for grinding-off defects, measuring the remaining thickness of wall over entire area of defective section and separating the required zones according to measurements thus obtained. Defective area is welded-up by plates at definite distance from each other and metal is welded-on in gaps formed between plates.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability.
