FIELD: electric and radio measurements.
SUBSTANCE: invention allows estimating presence and degree of harmonic distortions in amplifying sections. Estimation of harmonic distortions is based upon measurement of value showing the rate of difference in duration of positive and negative half-waves of signal after the signal has been subjected to non-linear transformation at the condition that initial process has to be harmonic process with permanent parameters. Digital meter has sinusoidal signal oscillator, comparator and counter used for reading difference between informative time intervals.
EFFECT: functional simplification.
