FIELD: electric and radio measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: device allows estimating presence and degree of nonlinear distortions in four-terminal network when random useful signal passes it through at working mode without switching four-terminal port off and applying special test signal at its input. Nonlinear distortion meter has two comparators being used for clipping input signals, two units for measuring time intervals and comparison unit. First test input of meter has to be signal input first comparator, second test input has to be signal input of second comparator. Reference voltage inputs of comparators are connected with common bus. Output of first comparator is connected with input of first unit for measuring time intervals; output of the unit is connected with first input of comparison unit. Second unit of comparison unit is connected with output of second unit for measuring time intervals which unit has input connected with output of multiplexer. First and second data inputs of multiplexer are connected with outputs of second comparator and inverter correspondingly. Input of inverter is connected with output of second comparator. Output of meter has to be output of comparison unit.
EFFECT: simplified design; widened functional abilities.
