FIELD: railway transport: signaling and communication.
SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method ac signal is applied to one end of track circuit and change of signal at other end is checked depending on coordinate of train shunt, and by character of signal change non-occupancy of track circuit is revealed. Method is based on checking correspondence of current voltage across end of track circuit and reference voltage which is determined at complex input resistances of instruments on end of track circuit with capacitive component depending on condition of insulation resistance in six possible situations. Then threshold voltage at occupation and clearance are found by multiplying occupation and clearance coefficients by reference voltage, respectively. If current voltage at input of track receiver is lower than threshold occupation voltage, track circuit is considered occupied, and if current voltage exceeds threshold clearance voltage, track circuit is considered clear.
EFFECT: improved reliability of checking condition of track circuit.
