FIELD: railway signaling and communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for traffic control. Method is based on checking correspondence of current voltages across ends of track section to threshold voltages which are determined through reference voltages corresponding to state of insulation resistance. Used as reference voltages, respectively, are: current voltage increased by surge coefficient equal to 1.1-1.5, maximum value of current voltage when preceding track section is occupied, maximum value of current voltage when following track section is occupied, preceding value of reference voltage reduced by voltage drop coefficient equal to 0.3-0.5. Then reference voltage is multiplied by occupation coefficient approaching 0.3 and clearance coefficient approaching 0.3 and clearance coefficient approaching 0.4 to find, respectively, threshold voltage of occupation and clearance of track section. Current voltage is compared with threshold voltages, thus found, and if is lower than threshold occupation voltage, track section is considered occupied, and if it is higher than threshold clearance voltage, track section is considered clear.
EFFECT: improved reliability of checking of track section state.
