FIELD: railway transport; signaling and communication.
SUBSTANCE: method comes to changing over track circuit from one duty to the other with time delay. Switching off of track circuit is provided at a lapse of time during which intensive drying of ballast might cause false indication of clearing of track circuit. Delivery of information signal on non-reliable control is done at a lapse of time at which intensive wetting of ballast might cause false indication of occupancy of track circuit. Time interval at switching off is determined by time at which maximum speed of ballast drying with standard shunt applied in most unfavorable place of application causes voltage rise across track receiver sufficient to indicate clearance of track circuit. Time interval at delivery of information signal on non-reliable control is determined by time at which maximum speed of ballast wetting leads to voltage drop across track receiver at which false occupancy is fixed.
EFFECT: improved reliability of checking condition of track sections.
