FIELD: railway signaling and communication; interval traffic control.
SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method, ac signal is supplied to rail line at one end, and change of signals is checked at other end, and at complex inlet resistances of ends of rail lines with capacitive component, reference voltage is fixed. Values of threshold occupation and clear voltages are determined and current voltage of rail line is compared with said values, and if occupation threshold voltage exceeds current voltage, rail line is considered occupied and if current voltage exceeds threshold clear voltage, rail line is considered clear. Reference voltage is determined by voltage bump appearing at approach of train to rail line as a function of reference voltage. If occupation of rail line exceeds 15 min, current voltages of clear adjacent rail lines are compared, and if they are approximately equal (difference not exceeding 15%), current voltage is taken as reference voltage of occupied and both adjacent clear lines on condition that zones of influence of shunts of clear rail lines are free from running vehicle.
EFFECT: improved safety of traffic.
