FIELD: transport engineering; automotive industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in production of new models of automobiles and modernization of existing models. Proposed steering column includes steering wheel, inlet shaft on which steering wheel is mounted, output shaft coupled with vehicle wheels and arranged coaxially with input shaft and torsion bar connected with adjacent ends of input and output shafts and installed to provide twisting at application of torque to inlet shaft. It contains also electric motor with stator and rotor, reduction gear by means of which electric motor is connected with output shaft, control unit to form and supply control signals, depending of angle of twisting of torsion bar, to electric motor which supplied additional torque to output shaft. Rotor of electric motor is arranged on output shaft coaxially with motor, and sum gear wheel of planetary reduction gear is connected with rotor of electric motor. Stationary central gear wheel is coupled with sun gear wheel by means of at least one planet pinion, and carrier is secured on output shaft and is in meshing with planet pinion.
EFFECT: compact design, energy saving, reliable steering column providing ease of steering.
