FIELD: transport engineering; shock absorbers.
SUBSTANCE: proposed shock absorber has "rod-piston" unit 12, 13 made for sliding inside cylinder 11 with hydraulic liquid and forming working chamber 18, 19 from both sides of piston 13. each working chamber 18, 19 is in constant communication with corresponding chamber 20,21 containing heterogeneous system for absorbing and suppressing the energy. Said system consists of porous matrix 51, 61 and liquid 52, 62 to which said matrix is hydrophobic. Moreover, each working chamber 18, 19 communicates with common compensation chamber 30 through corresponding valve system 32, 33 including check valve 40, 41 providing automatic closing of corresponding working chamber at compression and opening of said chamber at rarefaction.
EFFECT: increased damping capacity of shock absorber.
