VISCOUS FRICTION DAMPER Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC F16F13/08 F16F9/08

Abstract RU 2723102 C1

FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to machine building. Viscosity friction damper includes housing and two cavities different in volume, filled with damping fluid. Cavities are separated by a partition with holes, to which an elastic membrane adjoins. Bellows ends are fixed on upper and lower parts of housing. Upper part of the housing is partially filled with air under pressure and separated from the bellows by an additional partition wall with a central hole. Main partition with holes is made in form of hollow truncated cone. In the upper part of the cone there fixed is a cylinder with slots of variable cross-section along the generatrices. Cantilever part of cylinder enters central hole of additional partition in upper part of housing. Elastic membrane is pressed around flange and nut to bottom plane of hollow cone. In the damper according to the first embodiment damping fluids have different kinematic viscosity coefficients. Flange is made in the form of a cup with calibrated holes and is closed from the outside with an elastic gasket. In the damper according to the second embodiment, a porous body is placed in the lower part of the case under the flange. Lower cavity is filled with lyophobic liquid corresponding to porous body.

EFFECT: broader functional capabilities of the damper with commensurate movements both in vibration and impact effects due to higher energy dissipation power.
