FIELD: metallurgy; blast furnace cooling systems.
SUBSTANCE: proposed cooler has steel or copper slab with metal tubes laid in recesses found on rear face; said recesses copy shape of cooling reagent tube; recesses are made at pitch of 0.2-0.3 of slab width. Tubes are secured to slab by means of transversal bandages. Outer ribbed surface of slab has slots. Exposed surfaces between tubes and surfaces of tubes are coated with layer of heat-insulating refractory material.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability; enhanced efficiency of heat transfer.
