FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves asking a patient to sit down comfortably in a chair, putting on orthopedic head support for making vertebral column traction and training muscles. The cervical vertebral column segment traction is carried out by applying growing force and concurrently training muscles. To do it, traction is carried out under constant loading during a week in increasing the load by 0.5-1.5% of body weight every week. Start load value is equal to 2-3% of body weight. Muscles are trained concurrently with traction by rotating head or rotating head and torso to the right and to the left by applying muscle effort as close as possible to mobility limit. Starting number of rotations as a cycle is equal to 50% of maximum rotation number done before beginning the treatment. Rotation number is increased stepwise by 30-50% from the starting value every week, remaining constant within a week. The cervical segment is fixed with orthopedic collar after traction not less than 4 h. Treatment course duration is equal to 6-9 months depending on patient age and disease or trauma severity degree. Procedure of magnetotherapy type is applied before traction for improving metabolism processes. Intramuscular lidase course is also preferable to be applied during the treatment course.
