FIELD: ceramic technology for production of high refractory and spalling-resistant zirconium dioxide-based material.
SUBSTANCE: claimed ceramic material is produced from batch containing (mass %) 75-85 of stabilized electrocast zirconia of continuous grain composition with maximum grain size of 2-3 mm, comprising 5-10 % of grains with size less than 0.15 mm; and 15-25 of dispersed binder containing powder mixture of stabilized and monocline zirconia with grain size less than 5 mum in ratio of 7:3. Material of present invention has density of 4.90-4.95 g/cm3; porosity of 15.6-16.5 %, compressive resistance of 65-75 MPa and spalling resistance more than 30 temperature cycles. Said material is useful in nuclear reactor trap cladding, high temperature furnace, crucible for metal melting and crystal growth, high pressure systems, and other constructions operating at temperature up to 2500°C.
EFFECT: ceramic material of excellent physical and chemical properties.
