FIELD: instrument-making industry; mechanical engineering and other industries; chemical-thermal treatment.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is dealt with chemical-thermal treatment and may be used at the enterprises of instrument-making industry, engineering industry and other industries at production of friction pairs. The offered method provides for upgrading, rough machining, stabilizing tempering, final machining and a two-stage gaseous nitriding with aging in an aerosphere of ammonia first at the temperature of 510-515°C, then at 540-545°C and following cooling. The final machining is carried out by a double final machining with an intermediate and a final tempering in a saltpeter bath at the temperature of 520-540°C within 0.25-0.5 h, and a two-stage gaseous nitriding of the component parts is carried out in a permanent magnetic field with the strength level of 100-150 oersted within 1-2 h with following cooling with a speed of 20-30°C/min. The technical result of the invention is an increase of hardness and wear resistance of component parts made out of structural steels.
EFFECT: the invention ensures increased hardness and wear resistance of component parts made out of structural steels.
