SUBSTANCE: light guide has protective-strengthening coating, external quartz protective envelope, reflecting envelope composed of quartz glass which has difference in refractivity being negative comparatively with refractivity of quartz glass of external protective quartz envelope. Light guide also has light-guiding conductor made of quartz glass, which has difference in refractivity being positive comparatively refractivity of quartz glass of external protective quartz envelope and loading areas that induce birefringence in light-guiding conductor and reflecting envelope. W-profiled light guide is chosen, which construction provided size of canalized polarization mode to be equal or smaller than diameter of light-guiding conductor.
EFFECT: reduced loss of optical power; widened range of spectral window of polarizing light guide.
