SUBSTANCE: proposed device has varistors accommodated in flanged case provided with differently projecting ribs with their projections disposed in reducing order repeated in n ribs along case. Greater projection of ribs, projection of every next n rib, and rib-to-rib distances are selected from mathematical expressions.
EFFECT: reduced mass of device due to optimized mechanical design of ribs.
