FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves determining monocular visual brightness acuity of one eye with decentered intraocular lens and of the other eye using three levels of illumination to imitate various vision conditions in overcast day, sunny day and bright sunny day. Then, binocular visual acuity is determined under the same illumination conditions. The obtained results are compared. Binocular visual acuity being found below monocular one at some illumination level, decentered intraocular lens reposition is considered to be indicated.

EFFECT: high accuracy and reliability of advise.
