METHOD FOR ASSESSING PROBABILITY OF DISTURBANCE OF LIGHT-REFRACTING SYSTEM OF EYE IN PATIENTS WITH PSEUDOPHAKIA, CAUSED BY STATE OF IOL OR POSITION THEREOF Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61B3/103

Abstract RU 2816811 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used for assessing the probability of eye refractive system disturbance in patients with pseudophakia caused by the state of the IOL or its position. For this purpose, aberrometry is performed after correction of lachrymal film in the form of installation of lachrymal substitutes. Then, the Strehl number of the cornea and intraocular structures is determined by setting the pupil diameter to 3 mm in the aberrometer settings. Probability of the patient's light-refracting system disturbance caused by the state of the intraocular lens Y is calculated using the developed mathematical formula. If the value Y = 0.418, the probability of disturbance of the light-refracting system of the eye caused by the state of the intraocular lens or its position is considered to be very high. If the values Y = 0.55–0.598, the probability of the disturbance of the light-refracting system of the eye caused by the state of the intraocular lens or its position is considered to be high. If the values Y = 0.682 and higher, the probability of disturbance of the light-refracting system of the eye caused by the state of the intraocular lens or its position is considered to be low.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to estimate probability of disturbance of light-refracting system of eye, conditioned only by state of IOL or its position, in given category of patients, which in its turn will allow to define selectively ways of visual rehabilitation of patient.
