FIELD: tobacco industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device and a method for producing tobacco material in the form of sheets. In particular, the present invention relates to a device and a method for producing tobacco material in the form of sheets for use in an aerosol generating product, such as a cigarette or a tobacco-containing product of “heated without burning” type. A device is proposed for the corrugation of a material sheet, wherein the device contains the first and the second opposite corrugating rollers defining the first and the second axes of rotation, respectively. The first roller contains the first set of ridges passing along the circumference, wherein each ridge defines the ridge amplitude. Each of the specified first set of ridges is interrupted along its extension along the circumference with the formation of a separating gap. For a set separation angle, the ridge amplitude differs from the ridge amplitude in the remained extension along the ridge circumference. The specified set of separating gaps forms a separating stripe defining the direction of extension, wherein the specified direction of extension is at an angle relatively the direction defined with the first axis of rotation, wherein the angle is from 2° to 25°. The invention also relates to a method for the corrugation of a material sheet, as well as to a corrugated material sheet and a rod made of the corrugated sheet.

EFFECT: inventions are aimed at providing a device and a method for preparing a material sheet with improved consistency in a final product.
