FIELD: gas-discharge equipment engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method includes dividing a frame of image on sub-fields, separating each sub-field on addressing range and indication range, setting code series of brightness by length of indication ranges, recording display elements in preparation range with their following selective erasing in addressing ranges. In one image frame two or three sub-field groups are formed, preparation range is set for each sub-field group, to each of which a code brightness sequence is set, and between code sequences of brightness of sub-field groups hierarchical relation is set in form of rows of numbers different from each other.
EFFECT: higher quality.
