FIELD: electromechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed revolving rectifying device has varistor units 6 designed to limit overvoltages across armature of synchronous machine brushless exciter, each being disposed in separate case and incorporating one or more series-connected varistors and two electrodes. Varistor units are mounted on heat sink of diodes 10 one on top of other in radial direction and their bases are interconnected in parallel. Extreme electrodes 1, 2 of two varistor units have threaded ends and are electrically connected on one end of unit to diode heat sink and on other end, to diode 15. Intermediate electrodes 3, 4 and insulating washer 5 used for centering the units and for securing connecting wires are provided with opposing recesses 17 and tenons.
EFFECT: reduced space requirement of units and axial length of armature.
