FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to overvoltage protection and incorporates the first switching component in thermal contact with overvoltage limitation elements. The said component is designed so as to trigger off, given the first limiting temperature (T1) reached, an overvoltage limitation element (elements) life expiration optical indicator. The second switching component is designed to actuate, given the second limiting temperature (T2) reached, disconnection and fault indication. The second limiting temperature (T2) exceeds the first one (T1).
EFFECT: timely warning of forthcoming overvoltage and increase in safety level.
