FIELD: separation.
SUBSTANCE: column comprises plates arranged with a spaced relation to each other in the axial direction. Each plate is divided into sections by the diametrical line. Each section has parallel rectangular drain sleeves, zones for receiving liquid, and bubbling zone interposed between the drain sleeves and receiving zones for liquid. The plates are arranged one above the other. Each receiving zone underlies the drain sleeve of the next adjacent plate located above. The drain sleeves are open from above and closed from below. The bottom end is provided with drain holes for liquid. The drain sleeves are arranged from the diametrical line toward the periphery of the plate.
EFFECT: improved contacting gases with liquids.
