FIELD: procedure of drying of free-flowing materials, applicable for use in convective type plants for drying of free-flowing materials, in particular, of crushed wood.

SUBSTANCE: the plant has a pipeline for delivery of heat-transfer agent, vertically oriented body with the upper loading and lower unloading hatches. The inner space of the body is formed by staged sections, each having a tapered funnel facing the loading hatch, and a circular separating member located above the latter, convex in the mentioned direction. The members of each section are installed on a common vertically oriented rotary shaft placed in the body space. The body has windows for delivery of heat-transfer agent and its removal. The windows for delivery of heat-transfer agent in the zone of each taped funnel are positioned in the horizontal plane and with a step shift through an angle equal to α=2π/n. These windows in the mentioned zone are shifted relative to the similar windows of the next zone through angle β=π/n, where n-any integral natural odd number, but 1.

EFFECT: intensified process of thermal heating of the material under drying for the whole volume of the plant.
