SUBSTANCE: mobile station monitors frames received from base station and counts correct, incorrect, and empty frames referred to as COUNT1, COUNT2, and COUNT3, respectively. If frame received is correct, COUNT1 resets to zero and COUNT2 increases. If frame received is empty, COUNT1 and COUNT2 remain unchanged and COUNT3 increases. ON- or OFF-operation of mobile station transmitter depends on count brought to threshold or higher value.
EFFECT: provision for monitoring direct allocation of control channels in receiving empty frames.
