PNEUMATIC APPARATUS FOR VIBRATION HONING Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: machine engineering, possibly finishing openings in parts of hard-to-form metals.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes vibrator mounted with possibility of engaging with holder carrying honing diamond-abrasive beams. Beam holder is in the form of tore-like elastic envelope along generatrix of which on metallic plates diamond-abrasive beams are fastened. Envelope is freely fit onto housing and it is limited by height at one end by means of disc and at other end it is fixed by means of nut. Apparatus is driven for operation at supplying compressed air into elastic envelope through axial and cross openings of housing.

EFFECT: enhanced accuracy, quality and efficiency of honing due to axial reciprocation motion of beams at smooth regulation of frequency and amplitude of their oscillations at operation of machine tool without interruption.
