FIELD: electromechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method used for diagnosing end-winding retaining rings for interference fit on rotor barrel of electrical machine that has rotor with end parts supported by bearings and central part in the form of barrel with slots to receive winding held in slots by means of wedges and end windings held in position by means of retaining rings includes detection of rotor troubles using vibration diagnostics involving measurements of vibration displacement, vibration speed, and vibration displacement phase of rotor shaft. This fact is diagnosed with electrical machine running at rated speed by variations in amount of vibration displacement, vibration speed, and vibration displacement phase of rotor shaft varying at double revolution frequency in the course of temperature variations in component parts of electrical machine rotor compared with these values as measured when temperature of retaining rings was minimal (basic condition). As an alternative, this fact is diagnosed at rated speed of electrical machine by variations in amount of vibration displacement, vibration speed, and vibration displacement phase of rotor varying at double revolution frequency in the course of variation in electrical machine load from no load to full load at rated gas pressure within electrical machine compared with these values as measured when motor is running at load varying from no load to maximum permissible load at rated gas pressure (basic condition). As still another alternative for motor using both gas and water cooling, this fact is diagnosed at rated speed of electrical machine by measuring amount of vibration displacement, displacement speed, and phase of rotor shaft vibration displacement varying at double revolution frequency in the course of variation of electrical machine load from no load to full load with water cooling system of rotor components normally functioning compared with same values as measured for electrical machine operating at minimal load and without coolant circulation (basic condition).
EFFECT: ability of checking interference fit of end-winding retaining unit without dismantling it.
