FIELD: oil production equipment, particularly survey of producing well subjected to barite deposition on well equipment.
SUBSTANCE: method involves taking solid deposit samples from well equipment walls; performing physical and chemical analyses of taken samples, choosing the most effective method of solid deposit built up prevention. Data base of reference Ra226/Ba ratios, where Ra226 is radium isotope quantity, Bq and Ba is barium ion quantity, g, is created on the base of preliminary radiochemical and chemical investigations of chemical composition and natural radioactivity of solid deposits. Radiochemical analysis is additionally formed for taken solid deposit samples and real Ra226/Ba ratio is calculated. Real Ra226/Ba ratio is compared with reference Ra226/Ba ratio and if above real ratio is less than reference ratio it may be inferred that solid barite deposits are built up due to efflux of mixed liquid containing stratum water of upstream horizon and/or technical liquid together with produced water into well.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and extended capabilities due to possibility to determine radiochemical properties of solid deposits, improved accuracy of solid deposit source and prevention of solid deposit building up.
