FIELD: plastic working of metals, namely processes for forming hollow particles of tubular blanks.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of forming part of tubular blank due to force action upon lateral surface of blank; before forming part flattening tubular blank for imparting to it elliptical cross section with small axis of ellipse not exceeding diameter of less branch of ready part; after forming part, if necessary sizing lateral surface and branches of ready part. Invention provides forming process at directional displacement of material of tubular blank to yielding zone along shortest path.
EFFECT: enlarged manufacturing possibilities, enhanced quality of hollow parts formed of tubular blanks.
