FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: applicator can be used for introducing radioactive material into human body. Applicator is made in form of mask. Relief of internal surface of mask follows anatomic relief of area being subject to ray influence and adjacent areas. Applicator has receiving channels for endostats which are made for displacement and position of radiation source inside them. Relief of mask, number of channels and order of positioning of channels are made corresponding to results of spiral computer tomography and subsequent computer modeling. Applicator is made of high-molecular polymeric material which is capable of not storing radio radiation, for example, of photopolymerizing composite on the base of acrylic oligomer. Applicator allows performing ray influence while taking individual peculiarities of any patient into account.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of operation.
