FIELD: electrical cleaning of gases from dust; heat-power engineering; chemical industry; manufacture of building materials; metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: proposed electric precipitator includes housing, electrodes, corona-forming electrode shaking mechanism equipped with hammer-type shaft, insulating shaft, reduction gear and electric motor. Output part of hammer-type shaft which is under high stress in parallel with housing wall is provided with disk. Diameter of disk is more than diameter of hole in housing. Edges of disk are bent towards housing and are concentric relative to straight-way hole. Besides that, part of insulating shaft on side of straight-way hole is closed with solid metal sleeve in form of truncated hollow cone secured coaxially relative to insulating shaft on its high-voltage end. Insulating shaft is protected against dust due to electrostatic fields between disk and housing wall, as well as between sleeve and casing.
EFFECT: reduction of possibility of insulator breakdown; minimizing of sizes of drive; enhanced reliability.
