FIELD: processes and equipment for coiling sheet material.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus for centering coiled material in front of coiler includes foundation with stop and guiding member mounted on foundation. Guiding member has leaf spring mounted by cantilever fashion on said stop with possibility of free rocking by action of material. Apparatus also includes lateral stops having mechanisms for their adjustment. Said lateral stops are in the form of plates with clamps mounted on free end of guiding member with possibility of tuning for preset width of material. It provides matching of axial line of feed of material with axial line of guiding member and prevents cross displacement of material on surface of guiding member.

EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of centering, improved quality of material, simplified design and enlarged using of apparatus.
