APPARATUS FOR CENTERING COILED MATERIAL Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: manufacture of sheet materials, possibly in metallurgical, paper-and-pulp and other branches of industry for rewinding coiled materials and slitting them. SUBSTANCE: apparatus for centering coiled material in front of coiler has base with stop supporting guiding member and with lateral stops provided with mechanism for adjusting them. In front of guiding member deflection roller is mounted. Rotation axle of said roller is mounted in fork arranged in bearing assemblies of base in such a way that lengthwise rocking axis of fork coincides with tangent line to mean portion of generatrix of cylindrical surface of deflection roller and it is in vertical plane including axis of aggregate and axial line of guiding member. The last includes leaf spring mounted by cantilever fashion on stop of base with possibility of free rocking by action of material between regulated lateral stops and deflection roller arranged over lengthwise rocking axis. EFFECT: simplified centering of coiled material with enhanced accuracy, improved quality of coiled material, enlarged using range of apparatus. 3 dwg
