FIELD: timber industry; production of band mills.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to band mills for sawing up of timber. The machine consists of two pairs of the driving and strain band wheels with a band stretched between them in a working zone of a sawing by the saw band. The pairs of the driving and strain band wheels are closed by a kinematic link consisting of the interlinked gearboxes located on the shafts of the band wheels with a different reduction ratio allowing to maintain the band stretching between pairs of the driving and strain band wheels. The technical result is decreased power consumption used for the band stretching.

EFFECT: the invention ensures decreased power consumption used for the band stretching.
