FIELD: metallurgy; blast furnace process.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes introduction of slag lining forming additive into charge containing iron ore part and coke; slag lining forming additive contains titanium in form of oxides and carbonitrides, as well as calcium, silicon, magnesium and aluminum oxides in the amount of 3-10% of mass of iron ore part of charge; proposed method includes also loading the charge into furnace and smelting it for forming slag lining on furnace walls; slag lining forming additive is loaded between portions of coke at simultaneous increase of consumption of coke to mass of additive at ratio of 1 : (1-5); this operation is performed after preliminary washing of hearth off graphite, coke fines and viscous masses.
EFFECT: reduction of time for forming slag lining; increased output of blast furnace.
