FIELD: metallurgy; rolling process; making structural sheet steel for boiler manufacture in continuous wide-strip rolling mills.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes heating the slabs, hot rolling at scheduled temperature of end of rolling process, cooling with water to reeling temperature and forming rolls which are slowly cooled at rate of 4-10°C to temperature not above 400°C; temperature of end of rolling process is maintained between 870-930°C; strips are cooled with water to temperature of 670-760°C. Structural steel has the following chemical composition, mass-%: C, 0.10-0.15; Si, 0.25-0.40; Mn, 0.52-0.80; Cr, 0.8-1.2; Mo, 0.4-0.6; S, no more than 0.010; P, no more than 0.020; Ni, no more than 0.30; Cu, no more than 0.20; Al, no more than 0.02; N, no more than 0.010; As, no more than 0.07; the remainder being Fe.
EFFECT: improved mechanical properties of sheets; avoidance of heat treatment.
