FIELD: electrical engineering, applicable in electrification of agriculture, in particular, for provision of safety of people and animals.
SUBSTANCE: the differential apparatus has the main differential current transducer. It consists of the main toroidal magnetic core with a secondary winding. Power supply conductors pass through its window, contacts actuated by a drive, when the current of the secondary winding reaches the preset value. Power supply conductors, two secondary windings pass through the window of the magnetic core of the additional differential current transducer. A current-limiting resistor connected to the current-conducting part is connected in series with one of its secondary windings. An electromagnetic relay signaling the state of the differential apparatus circuit is connected to the other its winding, at appearance of a short-circuited circuit it gets disconnected and with its contact, not making a protective disconnection, it switches on the signal device on a presence of fault.
EFFECT: provided self testing of the magnetic system with the aim of detection of a short-circuited circuit and informing the user about it.
