FIELD: molding glass sheets.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device includes furnace provided with heating chamber with vacuum plate near which rarefaction is created for keeping the glass sheet received from conveyer. Molding station located beyond furnace includes upper mold which is engageable with lower frame-type mold mounted for motion in horizontal direction. Vacuum plate is moved vertically by means of first actuating mechanism for transfer of heated glass sheet from conveyer to lower frame-type mold which is then moved to molding station by second actuating mechanism. Third actuating mechanism is used for moving the upper mold downward for engagement with lower frame-type mold in the course of subsequent molding of hot glass sheet. Molding station includes device for reducing losses of heat during molding process. Impulse rarefaction formed near molding surface of upper mold is used for enhancing molding process. Cooling unit is provided for cooling the molded sheets.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of molding glass sheets.
