FIELD: molding glass sheets by heating.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device includes furnace with heating chamber where transportation unit is located with its surface directed downward for forming rarefaction and delivery of compressed air, thus ensuring reception of heated glass sheet and holding it without any direct contact. Molding unit located on the outside of furnace has upper molding member which is movable in vertical direction; temperature of this member does not exceed 500°C; this member is engageable with lower ring which is movable in horizontal direction; this ring ensures motion of heated glass sheet from upper transportation unit to molding unit. Control of this motion is performed by means of first actuating mechanism. Second actuating mechanism is used for downward motion of upper molding member for engagement with lower ring at change of glass sheet shape. Molding unit located on the outside of furnace has device for reducing thermal losses in the course of molding. Rarefaction impulse is furnished to upper molding member for performing molding. Cooling unit is used for cooling the glass after molding.
EFFECT: reduction of heat losses.
