FIELD: manufacture of building materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention, in particular, relates to fabrication of porous artificial products and can be used in manufacture of granulated heat-insulation material, particularly light-weight filler for concretes in industrial and public construction. Raw mix contains, wt %: microsilica 41.7, sodium hydroxide solution (45.22% Na2O) 21.97, and water 36.45 additionally contains non-saponified 82% tall pitch 0.21, said tall pitch being obtained in sulfate-type wood processing. Heat-insulation material manufacturing procedure involves preparation of suspension from microsilica, sodium hydroxide solution, and water, which suspension is subjected to hydrothermal treatment at 80-90°C and atmospheric pressure for 10-15 min and then granulated. Crude granules are thermally treated at 350-400°C for 10 min.
EFFECT: reduced power consumption due to eliminated stage of pretreatment of crude granules, reduced loose density and volumetric water absorption, and increased total porosity of product.
