FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, vacuum cleaning equipment.

SUBSTANCE: vacuum cleaner is of the type to be selectively used with dust catcher of larger capacity equipped with bag and cyclone-type dust catcher of lower capacity, in accordance with characteristics of space to be cleaned, with the use of one suction brush, i.e., by selectively connecting dust catcher with bag and cyclone-type dust catcher to one suction brush. Vacuum cleaner has one suction brush with suction opening adapted for contacting with surface to be cleaned, and device for creating vacuum and suction force in suction opening. One end of vacuumizing device is connected to air suction opening and other end of said device is connected to dust catching device adapted for separating dust and air contaminants from air flow sucked through air suction channel. Dust catching device comprises cyclone-type dust catcher provided with dust chamber and designed for causing sucked air swirling to thereby separate dust and air contaminants from air flow by means of centrifuging force created by swirling air flow, and dust catcher provided with dust bag of larger volume than dust chamber of cyclone-type dust catcher and adapted for causing sucked air to pass through dust bag to thereby provide filtering of dust and air contaminants. Suction brush is further equipped with retainer for detachable fastening of cyclone-type dust catcher or dust catcher equipped with bag to suction brush. Cyclone-type dust catcher or dust catcher with bag may be used in alternation according to characteristics of space to be cleaned.
