FIELD: individual protection means.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of individual protection of respiratory organs of humans, for instance, gas mask in use in dangerous zones, for instance, on chemical weapons destruction objects. Proposed method of checking individual protection means of respiratory organs of man operating in room into which aerosol or fumes with specific odor are introduced and maintained during entire working period at concentration level organoleptically felt by man in room, if protection means fail. Used as such material is irritant, and gas mask is used as individual protection means. Feeling of odor of this material in gas mask warns each man practically immediately that his gas mask has lost its protective properties, making it possible to prevent injuries caused by action of chemicals under destruction.

EFFECT: immediate and easy checking of protection means by man himself without auxiliary means and efforts.
