FIELD: aircraft industry; spacecraft.
SUBSTANCE: proposed ramjet engine with elongated housing contains oxidizer flow inlet at one end of housing, and combustion chamber equipped with at least one fuel nozzle in intermediate part of housing. Central part of chamber is designed for mixing oxidizer with fuel and combustion of mixture. Wall of combustion chamber, at least partially, contains inner surface layer from side of central part, and outer surface layer arranged at a distance from inner surface layer to form intermediate space in between. Fuel gets into nozzle passing at least partially though intermediate space for cooling the wall. At other end housing is furnished with discharge nozzle to discharge gaseous combustion products getting from central part of combustion chamber. Inner surface layer, at least partially, is made of thermally cross-linked composite porous material permeable for fuel passing through intermediate space. Porosity of inner surface layer is chosen so that amount of fuel passing though inner surface layer be from 5% to 15% of total amount fuel delivered into ramjet engine.
EFFECT: simplified design of engine.
