FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: on corneal defect one should apply an allotransplant for layer-by-layer keratoplasty to be cut according to defect's shape and fixed with interrupted sutures to cornea. On should dissect pathologically altered conjunctiva against sclera and cornea, cover the area of operative interference with allotransplant for conjunctival plasty to be fixed in spread state to sclera with interrupted sutures. Dissected pathologically altered conjunctiva should be inverted towards the bottom of an eyelid to be sutured to distal edge of allotransplant for conjunctival plasty by forming the top of conjunctival arch. Its depth should be modeled with P-shaped application of allotendinous ligatures through eyelid's thickness to be then tightened and applied subcutaneously. The method enables to deepen a conjunctival arch at forming its top and substituting a transplant with a transparent cornea. It, also, provides high clinical and cosmetic result.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of therapy.
