SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of veterinary medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Method for surgical treatment of ankyloblepharon in cats includes separation of adhesions of the upper and lower eyelids between themselves, separation of the conjunctiva of the third eyelid from the palpebral conjunctiva and subsequent de novo formation of the conjunctival arches and mucous edging of the upper and lower eyelids from the conjunctiva of the third eyelid. At the first stage of the operation, the pathologically altered conjunctiva of the third eyelid is separated from the palpebral conjunctiva and the upper and lower conjunctival fornixes are formed. Then the third eyelid is dissected along the middle from the edge towards the medial corner of the eye to the accessory lacrimal gland, and the upper and lower flaps of the third eyelid are formed. After that, the T-shaped cartilage of the third eyelid is removed and the upper and lower flaps of the third eyelid are inverted. Next, the flaps obtained from the third eyelid are immersed and fixed in the conjunctival fornix in such a way that the conjunctiva of the inner side of the third eyelid flaps forms de novo conjunctival fornices and edges of the upper and lower eyelids. Wherein the fixation of the conjunctiva of the flaps of the third eyelid in the zone of the edges is carried out through the skin with a continuous suture.

EFFECT: invention provides for one-stage ankyloblepharon plasty, elimination of adhesion of the conjunctiva of the upper, lower and third eyelids to each other with the formation of a mucous edging due to the tissues of the third eyelid, which prevents the recurrence of the adhesive process.
