FIELD: mechanical engineering; diesel engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fuel injection pumps of diesel engines. Proposed plunger pair contains barrel with two filling-and-cutoff holes arranged in one plane, made center-symmetrically relative to axis of barrel and connected with low-pressure space located in pump head, and plunger with control grooves interacting with filling-and-cutoff holes. Barrel is provided with ring groove connected by two center symmetrical holes with low-pressure space, holes being made tangentially relative to ring groove, and cut-off hole is located lower than ring groove. Plunger is provided with axial and radial holes connecting overplunger space with cutoff space of pump.
EFFECT: reduced wear of plunger pair and improved injection.
