FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: vibration isolator comprises flexible member made of arc-like sections of the steel rope and two bearing rings. One of the rings is made for permitting connection with the object, and the other ring can be connected with the base. One of the bearing rings is mounted inside the other one and has the same number of openings. The openings are arranged perpendicular to the plane of each ring. The ends of the sections of the steel rope are set and clamped in the openings of these rings and are arranged radially, diverging from the inner ring to the outer one. The flexible rope member has additional flexible member made of natural, synthetic, or metallic rubber or composition flexible material which can be housed in the semi-round ring space or vulcanized with the rope flexible member or rope flexible member and the additional flexible member made of rope and cord can be interweaved.
EFFECT: enhanced isolation capability and reduced sizes.
