FIELD: transport facilities; motion of submerged bodies.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method of motion of submerged body is based on use of container held with rope in water medium. For motion of submerged body, use is made of internal space of container. Point of capture of container by rope is so selected that it is shifted forward from point corresponding to condition when container held at this point does not give rise to moment of reaction force of medium. Translational motion of container is excited by action of resultant force of controlled tension of control rope and force of reaction of medium. Device proposed for realization of this method is provided with container held by rope in water medium and cargo compartment for placing the submerged body. Container is made in form of wing with external hydrodynamically streamlined shapes and heavable rope is secured at point of capture of container located at distance of δ=0.29·l, where l is width of container from point corresponding to arising of maximum drag and zero moment of force of reaction of medium over center longitudinal line of geometric symmetry of container towards its translational motion.
EFFECT: improved service characteristics.
